American Associated Pharmacies member owned warehouse operating as Associated Pharmacies, Inc (API, now a subsidiary of AAP) was developed to provide our pharmacies with the best overall cost of goods available in the marketplace.
HOW IS THIS DONE? Lowest Priced Generics - The concept is simple: the member warehouse only carries generic drugs acquired at a net-lower price than a traditional wholesaler; if a lower cost is unavailable, we will not carry the item. Exclusive Brand Rx pricing – the member owned warehouse carries 300+ fast moving brand Rx items at WAC - 2.75% on invoice. Up to an additional 1% is available based upon pay terms and generic Rx purchases. This means our pharmacies can buy brand Rx at up to Wholesale Acquisition Cost (WAC)-3.75%*! OTC Products - OTC opportunity buys are offered to our members and warehouse customers at deep discounts versus regular wholesale costs; if a lower cost is unavailable, we will not carry the item. *API invoiced pricing is WAC-2.75 on brand RX. Using discounted pay terms earns another .25% discount. Pharmacies are also entitled to a credit of .75 up to three times the amount of generic RX purchased the previous month between the API warehouse and Cardinal Health, our PVA provider, applied to their current monthly purchases.
