AAP Announces New Board Leadership Following Member Election

American Associated Pharmacies (AAP) Members reaffirmed one of the cooperative’s greatest strengths during the Annual Member Meeting held in Orlando in conjunction with Cardinal Health’s Retail Business Conference (RBC): Member-led governance.

As a Member-controlled cooperative, AAP is guided by independent pharmacy owners who understand the challenges and opportunities facing community pharmacy every day. The AAP Board of Directors plays a vital role in shaping the cooperative’s strategic direction, ensuring decisions are made with Members’ best interests at heart and keeping the organization focused on delivering meaningful value for independent pharmacies.

During the Annual Member Meeting, the results of the Board of Directors election were announced. Jeff Harrell, Greg Mitchell and Jay Norberg were re-elected to serve additional terms on the Board, reflecting the confidence Members have in their leadership and continued commitment to the cooperative.

AAP also welcomes Raied Dinno and Matt Epling as newly elected members of the Board of Directors. As independent pharmacy leaders, they bring valuable experience and fresh perspectives that will help guide AAP as it continues to evolve and meet the changing needs of independent pharmacies.

The cooperative also extends its sincere appreciation to outgoing Board members David Dingman and Joe Dalton for their years of dedicated service. Their leadership, insight and commitment have helped strengthen AAP and support the success of independent pharmacies across the country.

“Our Member-controlled governance model ensures that AAP’s direction remains grounded in the everyday realities of independent pharmacy,” said AAP CEO Jon Copeland. “I want to thank David Dingman and Joe Dalton for the leadership, insight and dedication they have provided throughout their service on the Board. We are also pleased to welcome Raied Dinno and Matt Epling, whose experience and commitment will help guide AAP as we continue developing programs, services and solutions that create meaningful value for our Members.”

One of the greatest advantages of AAP’s cooperative structure is that the organization’s success is shared with our Members. When financial performance allows and the Board authorizes a distribution, eligible Members may receive patronage dividends based on their participation in the cooperative. Rather than generating profits for outside shareholders, AAP reinvests in innovative programs, services and resources that strengthen independent pharmacy while also returning value directly to its Members. It’s an example of how Member-led governance benefits independent pharmacies beyond the buying power and business solutions AAP provides every day.

Together, through the strength of Member leadership and cooperative ownership, AAP will continue advancing its mission of creating meaningful value for independent pharmacies.
