Jon Copeland, R.Ph., is the President and Chief Executive Officer of American Associated Pharmacies (AAP). He is a seasoned pharmacy professional with nearly 30 years in the industry.

Jon began his career in the early 90s with a distribution business he started while in college. Then, in 1996, he shifted his focus and joined Associated Pharmacies, Inc. (API), the cooperative founded by his father. Jon worked his way up from Operations Manager to being named President and CEO as his father’s successor in 2004. In 2009, Associated Pharmacies, Inc., merged with United Drugs in Phoenix, Ariz., to form the company as it is known today – American Associated Pharmacies (AAP). This merger was important industry-wide, as it created the largest independent pharmacy cooperative directly contracting on both the purchase and sell side. AAP currently represents nearly 2,300 pharmacies located in all 50 states.

Jon graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from Auburn University and is a licensed pharmacist in Alabama and Florida.
